Masjid an-Nabawi seen from above, Madina

Umrah, Hajj and journeys of faith

Makkah and Madina, organised end to end: flight, accommodation as close to the mosques as possible, transfers and accompaniment, for Umrah as for Hajj.

Umrah can be performed at any time of year. Its rites take place at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, and a trip almost always adds Madina and Masjid an-Nabawi.

Three things decide how it is organised: how far the accommodation is from the mosque, which sets the number of daily journeys; the link between the two cities, now the Haramain high-speed line; and the calendar, with Ramadan and the Hajj period accounting for most of the crowding.

Hajj belongs to a different framework: it happens once a year, from 8 to 13 Dhul Hijjah, adds the stations of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, and its places are allocated by country. We prepare it case by case, according to the quotas and the calendar published for the current year.

Visa requirements change regularly. We check the conditions in force at the time of booking rather than state a rule that may since have changed.

Frequently asked questions

Does Umrah have to be performed at a particular time?

No, it can be performed at any time of year, unlike Hajj, whose rites fall on fixed dates in the month of Dhul Hijjah.

What makes the price of an Umrah trip vary?

Mainly how far the hotel is from the mosque, and the time of year: Ramadan and the weeks around Hajj are the most sought after. The flight and the number of nights in each city account for the rest.
