L'Acropole d'Athènes éclairée à la nuit tombée

Travel to Greece

Athens and the Cyclades: antiquity at ground level, and an Aegean Sea that shapes everything else about the trip.

Greece has several thousand islands across the Aegean and the Ionian, about two hundred of them inhabited. The Cyclades, south-east of Athens, are the most visited, Santorini and Mykonos foremost among them.

The country has around twenty UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Acropolis of Athens, Delphi, Olympia and Meteora.

The currency is the euro. Athens is usually reached from Morocco with one connection; the islands are then served by ferry from Piraeus or by domestic flight.
